My particular situation makes this of genuine interest and I have started collecting available education on the subject – white papers, research and training courses with a view to…

• Rapidly adding to my existing knowledge on the subject
• Verifying by the use of separate sources, the viability of this business with respect to my personal attributes
• And to give me something to get stuck into whilst my badly broken leg recovers – though that is not a good reason really
  (nor do I recommend breaking a leg either!) We shall leave that to the more theatrical among us.

So I have today (after a careful look around that is)  purchased what promises to be a very comprehensive training course called

Local Lead Machines with the intention of meeting the bullet points above and reporting back as to whether it is worth the money. I should be in the position to confirm this (or otherwise) within a couple of days. As I said earlier… I do have quite a bit of time on my hands at the moment.

If you have been reading my other posts with any regularity you will have seen that I joined Jonathan Van Clutes Membership some time ago and the good news that imho his way of doing things although a tad slow at times is really fist class. The tools he gives you are themselves worth a years membership alone never mind that he personally helps with anything related to I.M.
I just don’t get how he does it all.

Managing Time with Clarity

I don’t know about you but I reckon I have bought more than my fair share of “Getting Things Done” books and Guides in my time and I just never seem to find a perfect process that works for me or at least one that I will totally stick to for any length of time. So I guess you could say I have self taught knowledge of this area and if nothing else am well read on the subject!

Until recently I was, well my usual, moderately organised individual despite all that I have already mentioned. In fact the best (until now that is) system I have come across is called the ‘Pomodoro’ technique which sets out a process by which you single task (Humans are rubbish when it comes to serious multitasking) serially throughout the day with consistent regular breaks for say 10 minutes during which you can grab a coffee or whatever floats your boat.

The key here is having the break which it is claimed gives your sub-concious brain time to assimilate the material you have just spent time on.

Well I can confirm that the Pomodoro technique does its job, at least for me it does as I can say with confidence that my retention and absorption of material measurably improved as a direct result of the system. I even use an electronic egg timer (ipomodoro) on my iphone to count out the elapsed time, remind me of my break period and remind me once again that it’s time to get on with my task’s.

So things had been progressing quite nicely as I have said, the only drawback being the lack of automation and flexibility beyond that ‘ducks in a row’ structure which ends up paper based. So I am always on the look out for ways of automating things if for no other reason than the consistency that brings to ones approach.

Well now I have found it and the great thing is that it works on windows and Mac and has been around long enough to suggest it’s very stable, I just had not found it previously. The software is known as The Action Machine and it fits very well into the Pomodoro way of doing things yet is flexible enough to adapt to the traditional GTD approaches also.

So now I have a ‘single’ system that in total means I am in full control of my time planning yet in a very efficient and flexible way and I don’t need the iphone to help out any more either.

It’s been a while now since I have made a serious commitment to another ‘GURU’ or ‘GURU WANNABE” but now I find myself in a very happy position having found what I can only describe as a truly marvellous training source. And if he knew I had suggested he was a Guru etc then I know he would be none too pleased, precisely because he has absolutely no ambitions in that direction at all.

All of us got bled out to varying degrees with the Harward con and understandably are cautious about hooking up with another ‘trainer’ – I know I was, but I am really happy to say I KNOW I made the right choice because the place I get my training from now is absolutely bloody fantastic!

There is sooo much useful stuff in place already and last thursday I got hooked on a webinar that lasted three yes THREE full hours and it was superb for almost the whole time. And how about this too…. EVERY single question got answered. We were shown in real time how to build a PPV campaign, rotate it through seventy or so email submit offers, assign the right budget, track the clicks as they came in etc and yes all live and within the webinar. We are gonna see this campaign right through to conclusion with detailed info along the way. AND ALL the software he used is included with the training and at no extra (i.e. hidden) charge! (And it’s already written and tested … whoopy!)

Truth be known? I reckon I have got more content in my first two weeks of membership (thats good content by the way) than I did in the entire Harward debacle.

I am particularly interested in hearing from current users of this course in terms of your experiences to date.

So what is it? The product name is Blog Blueprint and is a complete, structured and well produced training course covering autoblogging and how best to go about it to get great results.

The price is currently (at the time of this post) just $67 and well worth it – I got myself a copy and have no complaints at all.

It seems customary these days to be offered an upsell or two when buying (especially training) on-line and this is no different. What is good is the 14 day free trial of ALL their tools that are available above and beyond standard membership.

There is no harm in going for these PROVIDING you have the self discipline to cancel at the appropriate time if indeed that is what you decide to do. (I won’t be cancelling as the tools are worth it).

These guys ALWAYS issue prompt refunds when valid requests are made – they are upstanding guys with whom you should have no worries. I have purchased products from both of them before and have never been unhappy at all. I once suffered a tech support cock-up, tweeted Jason Katzenback and had it resolved in less than 30 minutes – can’t ask more than that.

So take a look at the intro video to get a flavour of what I am recommending.

So what does this coaching program offer?

I think the first point to make is that Will set’s his stall out from the get go and is totally focused on getting his students into the position of having generated income as quickly as possible. He also is keen on the idea of teaching from basics in order to ensure that his students have a thorough grounding in the fundamentals and to ensure that they move forward with their individual businesses (for that is what you will have at the end of your very first month) with the confidence of knowing that perhaps for the first time they actually do know what they are doing.

(The ‘Learn The Basics Mantra’ is something I totally support — I see too many trying to run before they can walk — don’t buy advanced tools if you don’t understand their background to use)

I could drone on and on about what comes in the months after month one, but frankly it would not serve any long term purpose as the content of his program is constantly being updated in order to ensure that it reflects the current state of the market in terms of what works and works ‘now’.

So What’s In Month One?…

Perhaps the best thing to do  is play you a short audio clip of Will himself explaining part of Month One’s activities, because it is a ‘full’ month, lots to do and lots to watch (over 24 videos if recall correctly) and lot’s to take on board. The emphasis on month one is ground up…. nothing is missed and no stone left unturned when it comes to getting his students up and running and into money generating mode.

Oh, and don’t be worried by his

“I don’t want you to use any tools or tracking”

statement. That is very deliberate on his part. Of course you will get into using some highly sophisticated tools as you progress through the program. As Will would confirm, it’s no use using a blade to cut with, if all you do is bleed to death as a result!

If you are still very much learning the skills to market on-line then look at Howies stuff….
If you are very experienced and already know most of the basic to intermediate techniques, then still look at Howies stuff.

Howie Schwartz is one hell of an on-line and off-line marketer that is for sure. But, should you go out and enroll onto his Apprentice Program? Well my take on that is it depends…

I myself stomped up $1997 to go through Apprentice 4 and the short answer is that if you are new to the on-line marketing world then Howies system is for keeps. Rest assured you will cover a lot of material over the 10 week course. You will generate results, you will learn skills that should stand you in good stead for your business activities long after the program has finished.

However, if you are relatively well experienced, know your way to a good or very good level in respect of SEO, understand how to drive traffic (efficiently and effectively) to your sites, I would then say this is not for you as you would only find a small number of elements/ideas truly useful (as did I).

But as I say, If you are new (< 1 year say) to the on-line game, then Howies course is worth it.
You will learn a great deal but be prepared to work and work very hard, why? because that is what it takes to succeed, there are no magic bullets!

I will warn you now. The senior coaches can be VERY direct at times, in fact one of them severely pissed me off by going too far (of course I said my piece as I am inclined to do ) But overall they do have your best interests at heart.
They just have little time for slouches who are not prepared to work, yet still demand results. If you are like that then Don’t sign-up because I warn you now, you will be told and told in no uncertain terms.

It’s business, simply business and they treat you that way for a reason.

Apprentice 5 is the next one available to the public and will be focussing on DOMINATING clickbank. These days that’s not my scene so I won’t be going along despite the great discount I have been offered.

So in conclusion.

If your new on-line, bite Howies hand off and get the course, work hard and get yourself skills that will go the distance.
If you are experienced on-line then spend your money elsewhere.

Either way do take a good look at what Howie is offering as whether you go and grab the course or not, you will still learn a few things.

Howie is quite prolific when it comes to giving away useful perspectives that if you take them and use them will be quite useful to many.
